Penylan Country Lodge is located in delightful open countryside, in the beautiful county of Monmouthshire. We are only a few miles from Newport and the M4 and are conveniently located on the main A48 road. Our Kennels and Cattery is well known in the area for its high standards and unrivaled care for your furry guests. We also provide dog grooming services at our in-house Groomers Paws Parlour too.
Penylan Country Lodge has always been a family run business, starting as a small kennels in 1965 . Developed by the Meechan family from 1991 to November 2022 their hard work is the foundation for the amazing kennels & cattery it is today.
On the 24th of November 2022 we, Royston, Loraine, Daughter Rebecca and Son-in-Law Gavin had our dream come true; becoming the new owners of a little piece of paradise. Our love of dogs and cats is the very essense of Penylan, the commitment we hold runs far deeper than its physical value, its truly about the care of the animals trusted to us.
The incredible team we have inherited are the most diligent, compassionate team we have ever had the opportunity to work with and we are proud to call them the Penylan Family.

*Wednesdays 9am -12.15pm & 2pm - 5pm (last drop off 4.30pm)
Sunday 10am - 11.45pm & 3pm - 5pm (last drop off 4.30pm)

These times are for daycare after initial registration:
Monday-Saturday 7:30am – 1:00pm and 2:00pm – 5:00pm
*Wednesdays 7:30am – 12:30pm and
2:00pm – 5:00pm
Sunday 7:30am – 8:30am, thereafter by appointment only (no extra charge) until regular opening: 10:00am – 12:00pm and 3:00pm – 5:00pm
